Writing for Wellbeing with Laura Napran

coincidentally, 23rd April is Shakespeare's birthday; how appropriate is that Doc?!

Writing for Wellbeing with Laura Napran

Saturday 23rd April 2017 1.00pm - 4.00pm The Gorgeous Granary £25

The doc is back! Laura Napran, PhD, is an experienced teacher, writer and storyteller, and a member of Lapidus (Literary Arts for Personal Development) and NAWE (National Association of Writers in Education) and she is bringing another fabulous writing workshop to the Gorgeous Granary on the theme of "Change and Growth".

Guided writing activities are a gentle approach to personal growth and a developing body of research shows that expressive writing helps calm the mind and emotions, and increases feelings of happiness and wellbeing. These writing activities are tools that you can take away with you to use throughout life. We all of us have a wellspring of creativity in us, and sometimes all we need is a little guidance to help us use that creativity to open up our potential.

No previous writing experience is needed. Anyone can do it. You will be guided through each activity in a non-judgmental manner. Technique is unimportant - whatever you do is good for you. There is no 'right way'-, only the 'write way'!

In this workshop, Laura will guide you through specific activities designed to help release the words within you in a positive and creative way. I have attended Laura's workshop and these activities really are enjoyable and can help find a new point of view and perhaps even different approaches to old challenges. Writing for Wellbeing increases self-awareness, fosters clarity and insight, and lifts your mood.  These workshops are gret value, book your place write away!
