The quality of BWY training is second to none, teachers are trained in house with internal verification and safeguarding procedures and they are given extensive support and continuing professional development. But BWY is not just for teachers, the organisation exists to promote yoga for everyone regardless of age or ability and there are substantial membership benefits for very reasonable rates, whether you are a teacher, a new practitioner or an established yogi. At a time when increasing numbers of people are turning to yoga, being a part of a thriving yoga community that keeps its members in touch with current best practice, as well as being a source of advice, information and support is almost as essential as your mat...
The BWY has a dynamic team of staff at its central administrative office, but it is run and managed by a National Executive Committee (NEC) of trustee directors. The NEC is elected by the membership and headed by the BWY Chair, BWY Vice Chair, Training Committee Chair, Training Committee Vice Chair and Regional Officers from around the country. These roles are voluntary and undertaken by the post holders as karma yoga; the practice of working for the love of giving. And currently I, Mrs O, have been the BWY Vice Chair since 2018.
If you are at all interested in yoga and you are not already a member, I thoroughly recommend you remedy that situation without delay!
